we need two. i'm always having to move mine in and out of my room, when i don't want to hang with everybody. i always have to drag that fucking ethernet cable back and forth too. i can get this one for the living room and keep the old one in my room. i've been wanting to get a second one for a while now. this is a great excuse to get one.

http://www.destructoid.com/e3-10-old-xbox-360s-memory-cards-getting-phased-out-176440.phtml

so apparently no more arcade models and all consoles are dirt cheap. that's pretty cool.

Quote :
The Xbox 360 "Slim" was arguably the biggest
news in an otherwise dreary Microsoft press conference. With the
sleeker, smaller model comes a little bit of news about the aged,
dusty, old Xboxes that nobody cares about anymore.

The older Xbox 360 models will be subject to a
price cut of $199, putting them in line with the 360 Arcade price. This
won't last forever, however, as these archaic models won't be
reproduced once sold out. If you want an Xbox 360 Pro for two hundred
bucks, you better act fast.

Speaking of obsolete hardware, the new Xbox 360
SKUs won't come with a memory card slot. You remember the "USB storage
solution" that came in an update recently? Yeah, apparently Microsoft
did that entirely for the upcoming slim 360, as they knew they'd be
phasing out memory cards.

So there you go. A little insight into what's
happening with your 360 hardware. Oh, and you'll be pleased to know
that the Red Ring of Death isn't a problem anymore, as there aren't any
red lights on this new model...
clever girl!

lol.

hdd's from the old consoles will be obsolete. you have to get transfer kits or use usb. pretty wild how the pro is now $200. wonder what the elite will sell for now.

totally. at least they are finally sticking with one friggin model for now though. used hdd's should be pretty cheap now. too bad they won't ever go the sony route though. get used to buying proprietary drives for the life of m$'s foray into gaming consoles.
