i always take people to sea port village then go to the top of the hyatt for a drink or just to check out the view.
hotel del is fun for people who don't live here. point loma lighthouse. if it's a nice day you could go get lunch at Poseidon in del mar and sit outside.

or you could drive up to julian and play in the snow.

take them to otay mesa. look out over the slums of tj. point and laugh. good times.

The Knox House Museum



Come in and see how most early settlers
lived on the 1869 - 1912 southernmost California frontier. Following
the end of the Civil War - and twenty years before railroads came
to this region - people from around the world began arriving overland
by wagon or by ship. After sailing from ports on America's east and
southern coasts, voyagers sailed south along South America's eastern
coast. Fighting the waves around the tip of Argentina and Cape Horn,
they sailed up the South American, then Mexico's western coast and
into San Diego's fair harbor. From there, they rented or purchased
wagons to carry their goods here.
Inside the Knox House Museum, are the
furnishings and personal effects of those who settled what is now
the City of El Cajon.

Admission is free, although donations are
welcome
